  • FAQ — Snoworks Ltd

  •

  • What areas do you service?

  • Snoworks Ltd is based in Silverton, BC and services properties within approximately a 15 km radius, including Silverton, New Denver, and surrounding areas.

  •

  • What dates does the seasonal contract cover?

  • Seasonal contracts run from November 1 to April 30.

  •

  • Do you offer per-service snow removal?

  • Snoworks focuses on seasonal contracts to ensure reliable service and consistent response times during storm cycles.

  • Per-service requests are difficult to schedule fairly because they are often called in after multiple storm cycles, which can require significantly more time and equipment wear than routine service. A seasonal-first model allows Snoworks to plan efficient routes and provide dependable service throughout the winter.

  •

  • When do you service (snowfall trigger)?

  • Snoworks typically services based on a 10 cm snowfall trigger, however timing may vary depending on storm conditions, drifting, temperature, and safety considerations.

  •

  • How is snowfall measured?

  • Snowfall is measured using a storm board at Snoworks headquarters. Snow conditions can vary by location, so service decisions are based on average conditions and Snoworks discretion.

  •

  • How soon will my driveway be cleared?

  • Snoworks aims to service seasonal clients within 24 hours of snowfall ending. During extended storm cycles, service may occur more than once as required.

  •

  • What is the difference between Basic and Premium?

  • Basic Seasonal is designed for non-residents/weekend use and includes a 15-visit cap for the season.

  • Premium Seasonal is designed for residents and steep driveways requiring more consistent access and priority service.

  •

  • What happens if Basic reaches the visit cap?

  • Additional visits are available at an additional charge. Snoworks will notify you if you are approaching the cap.

  •

  • Is berm clearing included?

  • Yes — berm clearing is included at the time of servicing when reasonable and safe. Snoworks is not responsible for berms created after service unless addressed during a scheduled visit.

  •

  • Do you offer sanding / traction control?

  • Yes. Sanding is available is included with Premium (up to 1 cu/yard) or, as an add-on service and may be required for steep or high-risk driveways to maintain safe access during icy conditions.

  •

  • How is sanding billed?

  • Sanding is billed by material used, tracked by cubic yard and billed in 0.5-yard increments, with a minimum charge.

  •

  • Are you insured?

  • Yes. Snoworks Ltd carries $5,000,000 liability insurance.

  •

  • How do I request a quote?

  • Snoworks prices each driveway individually based on grade, length, turnaround space, and average service time. Contact Snoworks through the website, Facebook, or phone to request a quote.

  • If you want, I can make that per-service answer slightly softer (“limited availability”) or slightly firmer (“not offered”).
